GIM: Strengthening social and political research

24.09.2024

Since September, the Gesellschaft für Innovative Marktforschung (GIM) has been strengthened in the management of the Social and Political Research division: Dr. Nico A. Siegel has joined the increasingly strategically important Public division as Executive Director.

With the appointment of Dr. Nico A. Siegel, GIM is further expanding its long-established research and consulting activities. Siegel's previous positions include Managing Director of the renowned Infratest dimap polling institute, CEO of Kantar Public Germany and Managing Director of TNS Infratest.

Siegel's well-known areas of expertise include various fields of social and political research, survey methods, election research and political consulting. Among other things, Siegel was responsible for the management of the former SOEP (Socio-Economic Panel) division at Infratest and was in charge of numerous national and international studies.

As an independent and owner-managed institute, GIM has a long tradition in qualitative and quantitative social and societal research, commissioned by federal authorities, scientific institutes and research facilities, associations, municipalities, NGOs and foundations, among others.

“With Nico Siegel, we are gaining a proven expert in social science research who also brings with him extensive management experience and success in the growth of research and consulting for public clients, not only in Germany.

Together with him, we want to set a new course in the field of public research: towards consultative, methodologically intelligent research that focuses on citizens. True social research. We look forward to working together!” says Dr. Stephan Telschow, GIM Managing Director.

Dr. Nico A. Siegel, GIM Executive Director, adds: “I am extremely excited about my new role at GIM: an institute that has been growing successfully in market research for years and has defined the area of social and political research as a clear strategic priority for the future.

GIM combines expertise in a large number of thematically important areas and has the necessary in-house capacities for high-quality qualitative and quantitative research - the best prerequisites for growth in the public sector as well.

As an owner-managed German institute with a broad social commitment and a clear commitment to sustainable corporate governance, GIM stands for substantial values and has a corporate DNA that will continue to gain in importance for successful cooperation with public sector clients in the future.”
